The Indonesian national women's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) team has advanced to the Grand Final of the Asian Esports Games (AEG) 2024 after defeating the Philippines at the Hua Mak Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Wednesday.

In the best-of-three (BO3) match, Indonesia showcased aggressive play from the outset, securing a 2-0 victory over the Philippines.

The team, comprising Venny "Fumi" Lim, Cindy "Cinny" Laurent Siswanto, Viorelle "Vival" Valencia Chen, Michelle "Chell" Denise Siswanto, and Vivi "Vivian" Indrawaty, started the first game with a rapid pace.

Although they briefly lost momentum in the 7th minute, allowing the Philippines a chance to rebound, the Indonesian squad recalibrated their team fight strategy with precise calculations.

Initiations led by Chell—who earned the MVP title for the match—disrupted the Philippines' focus. The Indonesian team clinched the first game in just 14 minutes, moving one step closer to the championship with a 1-0 lead.

In the second game, the Philippines dominated the early stages, securing multiple kills and even wiping out the Indonesian team at one point. However, Indonesia's women's MLBB team managed to recover.

Chell once again delivered an outstanding performance, capitalizing on the opponents' weaknesses alongside her teammates. The Indonesian squad played with discipline, systematically securing objectives like the turtle and turrets.

They gained the lead in kills, and by the 19th minute, Chell achieved a "maniac"—eliminating four heroes consecutively—sealing the second game and the match with a 2-0 scoreline.

This victory makes Indonesia the first team to reach the Grand Final of AEG 2024, scheduled for 4:00 PM local time. They await the winner of the lower bracket final, which will feature China, Cambodia, or the Philippines.
